Maungakiekie Toastmasters offers a friendly, warm environment for people of all levels to improve their communication skills. We have a wide range of members, from those starting their journey, to Distinguished Toastmasters, and everything in between. We have members of all ages and backgrounds, and from all over Auckland.

We meet on alternative Tuesdays at the Jack Dickey Hall, 174 Greenlane Rd, near the corner of Greenlane Rd and Gt South Rds (McDonalds corner), just up from the church. We arrive at 7:15pm for a 7:30 start, and meetings run until around 9:30pm. Parking is both in front and behind the hall. Please check the Club's Calendar for meeting dates.

Toastmasters helps you to improve a wide range of skills; public speaking is just the start. You will also learn how to evaluate the work of others, chair a meeting, improve your listening skills, and much more. In time you could follow the leadership path, or help run the club through the club committee.

To help you overcome those speaking nerves, we have a simple structured manual to help you get started. You will also be partnered with a mentor, who will help you through those first few speeches and meeting roles.

You can visit any meeting, and you're welcome to visit more than once to get a feel for how Toastmasters can help you.
